Winners are /u/TheNerd9 in 1st place, /u/B-24J-Liberator in 2nd, and /u/MadPcGamers in 3rd. I'll award prizes within the next 24 hours. Congratulations, and thanks for your participation! We'll roll another one out ASAP!
Contest is closed! Not a ton of entries, but that won't stop us. I'll tally the winners this weekend, and PM everyone as needed. Thanks for a good first contest, and we'll be starting a new one on Monday!
(3) Keep the subreddit related to Prison Architect: This is not /r/news. Each post must be related to the game Prison Architect. News articles, prison studies, or off topic content will be removed. Feel free to reference these in game discussion (Such as when discussing feature wish-lists), but core content must be. Jul 30, 2015 Prison Architect is currently in Alpha which means that the game is playable, but still in development. Not all features are implemented yet and there are many bugs that may affect gameplay.
Wardens Everywhere!
We're having a contest!
The contest will be for 'best overall prison' this time around, focusing on stability, security, and profits as our primary 'win conditions'. Things like aesthetics should also be considered, but not heavily favored. We're looking for a rock solid prison.
'How will you keep this fair?!' some folks are thinking. Simple! It's based on your votes! I'll be running the contest until Friday, September 5th 12pm CST. At that point, the mod team will take a look at the highest voted comments, and give out prizes accordingly.

PRIZES:
- 1st Place - Steam game of your choice ($25 maximum), and a picture of your prison all artsy in our (currently empty) header, to stay until the next contest.
- 2nd Place - 3 Months Reddit Gold
- 3rd Place - 1 Month Reddit Gold
RULES:
There aren't a ton this time around, as it's best overall prison. All entries must be a parent comment of this post, and include at least 10 images in a gallery to showcase your prison. You will also need to provide a copy of your game save, to make sure everything is actually stable and efficient. Also, things that are easy to change in the game save shouldn't be considered.
This is a new idea for us, so feel free to leave feedback. I'd like to start doing one contest per month, depending on how much activity this contest has. Get to building!
VOTING:
Since this is a contest, each person should really only be voting once. As /u/apocolyptictodd[1] pointed out, if a user votes more than once during the contest, time posted will become an unfair factor. If this becomes a problem with this contest, we'll make sure to account for it next time. I don't think we'll have many issues.
Edit: Please use the 'mega-comment' so I don't have to do a ton of deletion when we calculate the results. I'm moving any parent comments into that so others can see the answers.
Edit2: Voting heading added.
